Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. We are currently seeking a number of Part Time or Full Time Registered Nurse Midwife or Registered Midwife to join our ever-growing team in the Women’s and Children’s Division, including:

 

  • Antenatal Clinic
  • Maternity Assessment Centre
  • Birthing Suite
  • Maternity Unit
  • Domiciliary Care

 

About the Role:

 

As a RN/RM or RM, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered within the unit.  You will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient’s individual needs.

We are seeking motivated, positive and ambitious senior nurses and midwives to deliver outstanding patient care. This is a great opportunity for a Nurse and/or Midwife wh o would like to progress their career in this area of specialty.

 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

 

  • Current qualifications and registration with AHPRA as either a Registered Nurse/Midwife or Registered Midwife.
  • Ability to rotate across all areas (including Antenatal Clinic, Birthing Suite, Maternity Unit, Maternity Assessment Centre & Domiciliary)   
  • Current FSEP minimum Level 2 
  • Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
  • Ability to work night duty
  • An ability to provide clear patient education and instruction
  • Sound computer literacy and documentation skills
