Be the spark behind small acts of kindness that lead to big change.

We’re looking for friendly, organised and community-minded volunteers to help us raise vital funds for Marie Curie. Whether you’re placing donation boxes around town or hosting collection days, your time and energy will help support people living with terminal illness and their families.

Two Ways to Get Involved: Collection Box Champion and/or Collection Host

Collection Box Champion

Fuel fundraising from the ground up – one box, one coin, one smile at a time.

As a Collection Box Champion, you’ll place and manage donation boxes in your local community - think cafés, shops, and community spaces. You’ll build relationships with local businesses, collect and bank donations, and help keep track of how each box is doing.

Time Commitment: Just a few hours each month – totally flexible to suit your schedule.

You’ll bring:

  • A cheerful vibe, a friendly grin, and a can-do spirit!
  • Basic organisational skills
  • Local know-how and a few spare hours

Collection Host

Be the heart of the action on collection days.

As a Collection Host, you’ll set up a Marie Curie collection point in busy public spaces like supermarkets, train stations, or high streets. You’ll welcome and support volunteer collectors, keep spirits high, and help create a warm, positive atmosphere that encourages generosity.

Time Commitment: Just a few hours on collection days – flexible and occasional.

You’ll bring:

  • A warm smile and great people skills
  • Positive energy and team spirit
  • A knack for keeping things organised

 What You’ll Gain:

  • That warm fuzzy feeling of making a real impact
  • A flexible role that fits around your life
  • New skills and the chance to meet lovely people
  • Updates on the difference you’re making

Perks:

  • Short training, ongoing support & expenses covered
  • Access to discounts on shopping, travel, entertainment & more
  • Marie Curie Shop Loyalty Card

Whether you’re a retired adventurer, a student with spare time, or someone who just loves a good cause – we’d love to have you on board.

Please note: We welcome applicants aged 18 year for older for this opportunity.
