About the role:   

CHANEL is now hiring Senior Manager, Digital & CX Strategic Initiatives in New York City.We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded and hands-on individual with deep hands-on business expertise in technology and/or digital areas. This role will drive key strategic initiatives and projects to support business transformation on the Digital & Client Experience (CX) team, tapping into communication excellence to bring fresh, new opportunities in the Digital & CX space and launch them. The Senior Manager, DCX Strategic Initiatives will partner with key business stakeholders to unlock opportunities across our three divisions (Fragrance & Beauty, Watches & Fine Jewelry, and Fashion). Delivering business outcomes while evangelizing the organization to embrace emerging technologies and new opportunities will be the focus for our ideal candidate.   

  

What impact you can create at CHANEL:  

 

Drive Strategic Projects, Digital Platforms, and POCs:  

  • Act as an end-to-end owner of select strategic projects/programs/proof-of-concept (POCs), successfully delivering outcomes that support transformation efforts 

  • Develop frameworks and approaches to ensure agile solutioning for key business challenges and opportunities 

  • Conduct market research across the industry, start-up ecosystem, and other sources to initiate opportunities and partnerships 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, such as the Transformation Office and Open Innovation to source high quality partners and vendors  

  • Develop project management templates to help define scope, objectives, stakeholders, budgets, and timelines, such as project charter templates, project plan templates 

  • Measure ROI on projects to help with business case creation and investment driving  

  

Executive Communications & Portfolio Tracking: 

  • Create executive presentations and storytelling materials to get buy-in from senior-level executives on initiatives 

  • Facilitate brainstorming and alignment workshops with cross functional stake holders to prove creative concepts and align on execution 

  • Partner with Head of Digital Product & Strategy on ad-hoc executive communications and reporting with cross-functional partners

What you will bring to the team:   

  •  Proven experience partnering and sourcing external vendors, start-up ecosystems, and other partners to accelerate key business objectives 

  • Deep curiosity and awareness of trends in tech, ecommerce, client experience (CX), with an ability to distill to actionable and relevant opportunities for the brand 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and drive with end-to-end experience executing POCs from inception to launch, including project planning and project management 

  • Propensity visual storytelling and communication design; PowerPoint deck creation, visual ideation, influential deliverables 

  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, facilitation, presentation, etc.   

  • Proven ability to influence without authority in a cross-functional, matrixed organization  

  • Deep, hands-on business expertise in technology or digital spaces  

  • Minimum of 5 years working in strategy, product management, or corporate innovation  

  • Experience and/or passion for the Luxury Retail Industry 

   

Position Logistics:   

  • The position is based in New York City, requiring 3 days on-site at the CHANEL offices in Midtown Manhattan   

  • Minimum of 7 years' work experience with at least 5 years working in strategy, product/project management, and/or corporate innovation 

  • Must have experience leading innovation or proof of concept (POC) projects, requiring developing and advocating business cases and/or managing budgets  

  • Experience and/or passion for the Luxury Retail Industry highly recommended 

  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, preferred but not required 

Compensation:   

  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500 - $140,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
