Medical Assistant and Patient Service Coordinator -Full Time

My Health Onsite operates onsite and near-site health and wellness centers. Essential Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and escort to exam room
• Coordination and tracking release and request for patient medical records
• Coordination and tracking of patient referrals to outside imaging and medical providers    
• Review daily and weekly patient schedules for accurate appointment times and providers
• Prepare correspondence between medical providers and patients
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, waist circumference)
• Provide information and assistance to patients
• Perform blood draws, administer injections/vaccinations, and input medical information into EMR
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations; keep rooms neat, clean and well stocked
• Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information
• Assist the physician and medical staff with procedures and treatments
• Perform general office duties such as scheduling appointments and answering telephone  Promote wellness programs
• Complete and document daily equipment checks and calibration

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• MA diploma or certificate-preferred
• One years of recent clinical MA experience, preferably in a primary or urgent care setting
• BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Understand CPT and ICDIO Codes
• Proficient knowledge of computer systems including electronic medical record (EMR)
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients using excellent written and verbal skills
• Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (preferred)
