Job Overview
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients in a variety of settings, including residential facilities and withdrawal management. Your duties will include overseeing daily activities, health monitoring, crisis intervention, facilitating group education and structured activities, and transporting clients as needed.
You will also work closely with the treatment team to ensure the safety, well-being, and progress of clients, creating a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
For Residential Facility and Withdrawal Management:
Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
Monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms; escalate to medical intervention when necessary.
Obtain and record vital signs and relevant medical symptoms according to policy or as directed by medical personnel.
Oversee medication administration as per policies and procedure, ensuring compliance with medication policies.
Document self-administration of medications and work with trained nursing staff to ensure proper administration.
Monitor the self-administration of over-the-counter medications and ensure proper inventory and storage.
Document blood glucose levels and maintain agency-approved equipment according to guidelines.
Report medication errors and discrepancies according to agency policy.
Screen and monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms and escalate as necessary.
Facilitate supervision checks as per policy or when indicated by safety plans.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Required: High school education or equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment experience in human services or a related field.
Preferred: A Bachelor's degree, MAADC I or II, or experience in a behavioral health setting.
For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Must become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and insulin certified within the first 90 days of employment.
