Position Summary
UACHS is seeking an energetic and creative Community Outreach Coordinator to build strong relationships with families, community partners, and local organizations. This role combines outreach, event planning, enrollment support, and digital communication — ideal for someone passionate about connecting people and promoting educational opportunity.
Responsibilities
Community Engagement
- Develop partnerships with community organizations, local businesses, and higher education institutions.
- Represent UACHS at community events, fairs, and meetings to enhance visibility.
- Coordinate community service initiatives and volunteer opportunities.
- Collaborate with school leadership to align outreach efforts with strategic goals.
Enrollment & Recruitment
- Support student recruitment through open houses, school tours, and community presentations.
- Develop and distribute promotional materials for enrollment campaigns.
- Track outreach data and provide regular updates on enrollment progress.
- Engage prospective families and assist with the admissions process.
Social Media & Website Management
- Manage and grow UACHS’s social media presence across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Create engaging content that showcases student achievements, school events, and partnerships.
- Monitor online engagement analytics and adjust strategy as needed.
- Maintain and update school website content in coordination with administration.
Event Planning
- Plan and execute school and community events including open houses, parent nights, cultural celebrations, and fairs.
- Handle logistics such as scheduling, vendor coordination, setup, and promotion.
- Capture and share event highlights through photos, videos, and posts.
- Collaborate with staff and students to ensure events are inclusive and well-organized.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience in community outreach, marketing, or event planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with social media tools and website content management (e.g., WordPress, Wix).
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.
- Passion for education and the mission of University Academy Charter High School.
