Job Purpose:

The Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for oversight and adherence to the SBU Quality Assurance Program. The Operational Excellence Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Operations to maintain a consistency of how the field assessments are conducted in all Regions of Heath.


Responsibilities: 

  • Lead by example as safety is our number one priority.  Communicate safety to your direct reports thru the AOE monthly learn card completion and verbally when all possible.
  • Provide a team atmosphere with Local Management and regional staff to exceed our Customer expectations.  
  • Identify those Projects that may not understand why change needs to happen if Heath is going to grow and we need their support.           
  • Working with the Vice President of Operations analyze the data collected from the field audits, identify trends and share root cause analysis with the Training Department, General Manager, Project Manager to improve the quality of the service we are providing to our customer.
  • Support the Local Management with the necessary tools and information as the process evolves and improves overtime.   Communicate with the Training Department
  • Conduct field audits of each Project Twice a year.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Vice President Of Operations

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

  • Travel required up to 75% of the time, with some weekends required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of college course work preferred.
  • 5 years field experience in the running of the current services we provide.
  • 2 years of Project Management or other supervisory experience required.
  • Must be able to efficiently and effectively communicate via email on computer and phone.
  • Must possess the ability to analyze data and have a working knowledge of computer technology.  
  • Expertise in the Office suite programs (specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Knowledge of 3rd party systems used by utility companies.


Work Environment:

  • Estimated 25% office environment; This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Estimated 75% field environment; While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
  • This position requires up to 75% travel. Frequently, travel is outside the local area and overnight.
  • Travel to other projects for support or new project startup is required when necessary.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
