Purpose

The Director of IT Operations leads all aspects of B&D�s technology environment, reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Infrastructure. This role will oversee infrastructure, systems, security, service delivery, and vendor management across the enterprise, keeping everything running smoothly while setting the direction for the future.

This is a key leadership role in B&D�s ongoing transformation. This person will ensure our technology works flawlessly today while building a scalable, reliable, and secure foundation that empowers our employees to deliver their best work on projects that drive meaningful impact for our clients and communities.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work from our office at least two days per week, while also having the flexibility to work remotely.

What You�ll Do

Technology Operations Leadership

• Oversee all IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, cloud services, security, and service delivery across multiple offices.

• Lead and develop a team of systems engineers, administrators, and service desk professionals to deliver exceptional, reliable support.

• Translate enterprise technology strategy into actionable plans with measurable milestones and KPIs.

• Manage department budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships in alignment with organizational goals.

Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security

• Own the architecture and performance of B&D�s technology environment across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, AWS, SharePoint Online, and other SaaS platforms.

• Drive continuous improvement in cloud modernization, cybersecurity, and network optimization.

• Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response planning.

• Support ERP integration and readiness for future M&A or enterprise initiatives.

Service Management & Performance

• Implement and manage IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, ITSM) to improve efficiency and accountability.

• Ensure high-quality, timely resolution of user issues and adherence to SLAs.

• Champion service desk modernization, knowledge sharing, and proactive support practices.

Strategic Enablement & Collaboration

• Partner with the VP of Corporate Infrastructure to execute key initiatives, including ERP and AI/LLM deployment, data integration, and infrastructure advancement.

• Collaborate with leaders across Finance, HR, Operations, and Project Teams to ensure technology alignment with enterprise processes.

• Act as a thought leader and representative of the technology function in cross-functional planning discussions.

What We�re Looking For

Required

• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years managing enterprise-level operations.

• Proven leadership in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including endpoint management (Intune, Autopilot).

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity.

• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives such as ERP or CRM rollouts.

• Familiarity with AI/LLM systems, cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake), and Power BI analytics.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, hire, and retain a high-performing team, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate enterprise technology goals into actionable operational plans.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, capable of working cross-functionally with various departments and project teams.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and align IT strategy to organizational goals.

Preferred

• Bachelor�s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

• Experience in professional services, consulting, or project-based organizations.

• PMP, ITIL v4, or equivalent certification.

This role's target base annual salary range is currently $135,000-170,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education, experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate, and pay relative to other team members.
