We have a rare opportunity for an administrator with some reception duties to join our current management team to work 40 hours a week. Roles will primarily include varied administrative duties and client relations. We are looking forward to a practice move in the short-term future, expanding our practice and upgrading our facilities. Summerhill Vet Centre is a one-site, well-equipped, small animal practice based in Fakenham, Norfolk. We are an RCVS-accredited general practice and a training practice for veterinary nurses, and regularly take on new graduate vets and support them through their early years. We have many longstanding members of staff. Our team of 6 vets include those with additional certificates and qualifications including the certificate in Small Animal Surgery, certificate in Emergency Medicine and Surgery, certificate in Advanced Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery, RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Emergency and Critical Care, RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Surgery and certificate in Diagnostic Imaging, certificate in Ophthalmology and diploma in Advanced Veterinary Practice Sciences. This means we can offer a wide range of surgery and care, including local referrals, including our own out-of-hours service. Our team of 11 veterinary nurses and 2 veterinary care assistants have a variety of interests and further qualifications, which means we can also offer additional specialised nurse clinics and care packages. We have 3 office staff who share the administration roles, insurance and practice management roles. We are a friendly practice with a common goal amongst all staff to provide the best care to our patients and clients, and require someone who shares this aim. Your work pattern You will work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day; 8:30 am – 5:30 pm as routine, with some occasional flexibility for a 7:30 am start or later finish at 6 pm when other members of the team are on annual leave.
