SUMMARY: The Account Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence at BlackHawk Industrial. This position serves as the primary liaison between customers, production, logistics, and sales teams to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery, and clear communication throughout the order lifecycle. The Account Coordinator builds strong relationships with assigned clients through proactive communication, problem resolution, and consistent support for their operational needs. This role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting internal collaboration and helping drive customer retention and business growth.

 

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associates consistent with Core Behaviors

• Responsible for promoting culture of safety

• Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts

• Coordinate with production, logistics, and sales to ensure accurate and timely order processing

• Conduct weekly visits to customer sites

• Proactively communicate with clients regarding order status, delays, and updates

• Assist in resolving issues related to product availability, delivery, and quality concerns when needed for assigned clients

• Maintain accurate records of client specifications, pricing, and order history

• Manage new and ongoing projects with assigned clients, tracking timeline, expected date of completion and continuously pushing to help them in more ways

• Collaborate on improving customer service processes and internal communication workflows within assigned clients

• Generate reports on projects, delivery metrics, and client feedback

• Lead weekly meetings with the internal team to discuss client concerns, feedback and ongoing projects that need attention

• Work with the Operations Manager to continue and grow business with assigned customers

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 2–4 years of experience in account coordination, customer service, or operations in a manufacturing or supply chain setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of order processing and production cycles

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, E2)

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Power BI experience a great addition

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management

• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments and external clients

• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, customer-first attitude

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No Direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, or industrial products

• Experience handling B2B customer accounts

• Working knowledge of inventory or logistics systems

• Ability to read basic technical drawings or production documents

• Cutting tool experience (a plus)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Employee is regularly required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employee is required to use computer and other equipment.

• Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to _50_ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.

• Environment may be somewhat disagreeable. Working conditions may include exposure to elements. May be exposed to one element continuously or several elements occasionally, but usually not at the same time.

• Schedule involves frequent changes or includes some weekend and evenings.
