Position Summary
The Provider Support and Credentialing Coordinator I is essential to the success of the Provider Support Center Team, overseeing a range of administrative responsibilities and coordinating initial, transfer, and reappointment credentialing processes for Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIP), Other Licensed or Certified Practitioners and other clinical staff (OLCP) and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Additionally, this role provides comprehensive support to the Medical Staff, utilizing individual expertise, experience, and skills to effectively manage all duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Maintain files in the credentialing database to sustain accurate, organized, and secure clinical staff records, ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Perform specialized duties related to the review and processing of initial, transfer, and reappointment credentialing applications for Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIP), Other Licensed or Certified Practitioners and other clinical staff (OLCP) and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). This involves research and gathering essential documentation necessary for credentialing
- Monitor and Maintain LIP, OLCP, and PACE licenses, board and special certifications, malpractice policies, hospital privileges, affiliations, and all other job-related requirements by sending timely and accurate notifications of requests while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide administrative support for processing confidential Human Resource payroll changes and terminations, ensuring precise record updates for clinical staff who have exited the organization, changed supervisors, relocated within the network, transitioned to a new role, or legally modified their name
- Provide administrative support related to delegated credentialing including maintenance of rosters on an as needed basis.
- Build strong working relationships with clinical staff and administration to efficiently address provider support requests and ensure compliance with credentialing requirements
- Engage in professional communication within an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with medical staff, clinical personnel, organizational leadership, and external entities to ensure effective exchange of information.
- Conduct written and verbal follow-ups on credentialing and provider support center requests
- Provide administrative support to the Provider Support Center team by processing check requests and annual membership fees, managing interoffice mail distribution, coordinating provider orientation, and executing additional tasks assigned by the Credentialing management team.
- Follow 50+ departmental procedures related to all the responsibilities mentioned above.
- Any other duties related to provider support and credentialing as assigned by the provider support credentialing management team
- Maintains compliance with appropriate regulatory standards, including Corporate Bylaws, Federal, State, Accrediting organizations, Delegated payers and Institutional requirements.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred
- Credentialing and/or Provider Relation experience preferred
- Experience with credentialing software preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft office required
- Must possess strong research skills to collect relevant information
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask and meet deadlines while working effectively under pressure

The pay rate for this position is $23.00/hour.
