Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Process Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our production processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing practices. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, troubleshooting process issues, recording data, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Assist in setting up operational parameters in ERP system such as Bill of Materials and Job Routings.
· Perform routine process inspections and process checks to ensure quality and compliance.
· Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process-related issues in a timely manner.
· Collect and analyze data to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
· Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, maintenance, and quality control.
· Collaborate with engineering, operations, & quality teams to implement process improvements.
· Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
· Support training efforts for new operators or process changes.
· Participate in audits, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
· 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Basic understanding of process control systems and instrumentation.
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Proficient in using computers and basic software (e.g., MS Office, ERP experience such as SAP or Acumatica / MES production software).
· Able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts, or weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
· May involve standing, lifting, or operating machinery for extended periods.
· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required in certain areas.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
· Work in a manufacturing / warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
