WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
As a Graduate Engineer, you will be involved in various aspects of design for public infrastructure, including roads, water & wastewater storage, distribution, and treatment. You will be involved with drafting, calculations, plan & specification preparation, and all other tasks to execute projects from design through the completion of construction. This position offers an opportunity to work on a wide array of projects with a diverse set of job duties.
Once selected to join our team, you will:
- Prepare reports, specifications, and construction plans for projects as requested.
- Assist in the administration, interpretation, and implementation of contracts.
- Utilize Dunaway standards, SOPs and training materials to align with the client deliverable.
- Perform design calculations to verify conformance with applicable codes and project scope.
- Coordinate with client contacts to gather data and align project needs.
- Coordinate with outside parties on project including regulatory agencies, subconsultants, owner representatives, etc.
- Be involved in the presentation of project findings and deliverable to clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE:
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation software or applicable design software related to the specific area of focus
- MS Office and Bluebeam
SKILLS:
- Basic Knowledge of civil infrastructure, including paving, drainage, grading, water, sewer infrastructure.
- Ability to successfully complete multiple assignments through effective multi-tasking and prioritizing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team or independently.
- Ability to execute assignments with minimal direction.
EXPERIENCE:
0-2 years of civil engineering / design experience
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree
Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in the state of Texas preferred.
