                                                                       This Opportunity is for PRN/As Needed

Performs all aspects of Echocardiography to evaluate heart motion and heart disease according to established standards and practices. Provides Cardiology services related to Cardiac Stress testing, ECG recording/editing and Ambulatory Monitoring/Scanning according to established standards and polices. Supports staff, unit activities and performs other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Acquires and analyzes data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies. 
2.  Provides a summary of findings to the physicians to aid in patient care.
3.  Performs/Assists Physician with sonography related procedures. 
4.  Prepares patient or the equipment where required. Like stress echo/Dobutamine echo/TEE and HRT mapping.
5.  Provides Cardiology services to Cardiac Stress testing, ECG recording/Editing/Monitoring & Scanning. 
6.  Performs tests with portable equipment in patient rooms when necessary. 
7.  Manages work time effectively, prioritizing tasks appropriately.
8.  Provides efficient cost-effective care integrating fiscal responsibility, quality assessment and improvement.
9.  Operates Hospital Information System to save, copy, and store patient records.
10.  Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience  

• Must have 1+ years of experience, to perform in an as needed Sonography.
• Associate’s degree or comparable education. Graduate of an Ultrasound program preferred.
• Must be able to operate 2D Echo, Vascular, ECG and Stress Treadmill machines and other various equipment  
• BLS required. Registered ARDMS/RCVT or registry eligible status preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Polish) preferred.
