Medical Lab Technician en Community Care Physicians P.C.

LabCare Latham is looking for a full time Medical Lab Technician to join their team! The schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Occasional weekend and holiday as required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology.
• Maintain records of procedure performance, patient results and quality control in the laboratory.
• Report test results following clinic protocols drawing special alerts to physicians and/or nurses on “red flag” results.
• Review relevant laboratory reports for extraordinary results and clerical errors before they are reported to the providers; including reports on procedures processed in reference laboratories.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in accordance with defined policies and protocols, and logs preventative and remedial maintenance of equipment and performance of equipment, including daily temperature checks.
• Perform scheduled proficiency tests.

Annual salary range: $20.75 - $29.50
