The Inventory Control Supervisor will ensure the accuracy of inventory within our ERP system across the supply chain network. This role involves identifying process improvements, conducting daily analysis to resolve inventory issues, and managing the daily movement of goods while adhering to inventory control principles.
The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 7:00 am- 4:00 pm PST. This role reports to the Inventory Control Manager.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 per year, serving as a guideline for pay decisions. Final compensation will be determined based on candidate qualifications, experience, skills, and pay equity considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and direction to the Inventory Control team by setting clear objectives, delegating responsibilities, and facilitating ongoing development through training, team-building initiatives, and key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring. Foster a collaborative environment that supports optimal team performance across assigned warehouse locations and the broader network.
Daily Cycle Counts: Oversee the execution of daily cycle count procedures to ensure counts are created, reconciled, and posted in Business Central within 24 hours, meeting delivery schedules and supporting production requirements.
Transaction Management: Ensure accurate and efficient management of all inventory-related transactions, including shipping, receiving, storage, warehouse transfers, assembly consumption, and the movement of materials in and out of the ERP system (Business Central). Lead prompt investigations and resolutions of material discrepancies to minimize operational disruptions.
Material Review Board (MRB) Support: Work closely with the Quality team by actively participating in MRB meetings and guiding the resolution of obsolete, slow-moving, and surplus inventory in line with established protocols.
Audit Preparation: Supervise and coordinate annual audit preparations, maintain precise inventory records, and support documentation in compliance with inventory control guidelines.
Physical Inventory Management: Direct physical inventory activities, ensuring an accurate representation of stock levels and adherence to company policies and timelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with other departments to support seamless operations and resolve current challenges collaboratively.
End-of-Month Closing: Finalize all inventory transactions, adjustments, and movements before monthly deadlines, prepare comprehensive reports and documentation to ensure financial accuracy.
Reporting and Analysis: Produce detailed weekly and monthly reports on cycle count accuracy, inventory variances, and trends; leverage data analysis to inform and drive inventory management improvements.
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Support: Coordinate with S&OP teams to align inventory with demand forecasts, providing strategic input to optimize inventory holdings and support financial targets.
Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify, propose, and implement enhancements to inventory control practices, integrating new technologies and methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce error rates.
Compliance and Best Practices: Maintain strict adherence to inventory control standards and company policies, promoting best practices and delivering staff training on operational and compliance matters.
Inventory Liquidation Management: Develop and execute strategies for the disposal of excess or obsolete inventory, coordinating with sales and marketing functions to facilitate effective stock liquidation.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and monitor KPIs related to inventory and associate performance.
Design and implement processes and systems to enhance warehouse controls.
Organize and maintain racking inventory and oversee warehouse operations.
Verify, post, and reconcile cycle counts and related transactions.
Prepare and deliver training programs on inventory control (IC) functions.
Identify inventory gaps and collaborate with associates to find solutions.
Diagnose and resolve system issues related to inventory.
Oversee shipping and receiving tasks, including invoice reconciliation and transfer orders.
Generate analytics and reports for senior management on warehouse activities.
Ensure the execution of all warehouse procedures and compliance with safety requirements.
Manage procurement processes, including purchase order completion and submission.
Participate in leadership meetings to discuss inventory management challenges and opportunities.
Identify and address process and transactional inefficiencies, including BOM reporting structures.
Develop reporting systems for quantity shortages.
Facilitate team-building activities and conduct regular one-on-one sessions.
Daily communications must be conducted with the team so that schedules and expectations are clear.
Maintain team morale and clear communication both in-person and via email.
Manage serialized inventory reporting and counting procedures.
Direct audit and end-of-year cycle count activities, including calendar preparation and implementation.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions; provide relevant training to staff.
Supervise material loading and unloading, ensuring adherence to 5S principles.
Participate in and facilitate system function training programs.
Oversee cross-training initiatives and support hiring and disciplinary actions as required.
Complete management-directed tasks within designated timelines, maintaining appropriate communication.
Must be able to work effectively and provide results in a variable, changing environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7+ years in a warehouse operation with progressive experience specifically in Inventory Control, Supply Chain Management, or a related field within a product-based ERP system and WMS system.
Minimum of 5+ years supervisory experience in Inventory Control, or Supply Chain.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or five to seven years of relevant inventory management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and Look-up functions), Word, and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with daily communication to the Inventory Control Team regarding results and plans.

Attention to detail and capability to analyze large data sets effectively.
Strong mathematical and technical skills.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
