Under general supervision, teaches one or more classes in the field to students in grades 6 through 12, assists in other school programs as assigned, and creates a flexible program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student’s ability.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Plans, organizes, and presents instruction and provides instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development.
•Teaches how technology systems interact with our world related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics concepts (robotics, infrastructures, etc.).
•Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
•Develops instructional plans and organize a class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.
•Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.
•Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior required to provide an orderly and productive studio environment.
•Instructs students in proper care and use of materials and equipment, storage areas, and controls the use of materials and equipment to prevent loss or abuse.
•Evaluates each student’s performance and growth in knowledge and understanding, and prepares progress reports.
•Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or in self-selected professional growth activities.
•Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress.
•Cooperates in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-classroom activities.
•Participates in faculty and/or District committees and the sponsorship of student activities.
•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
•Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university in one of the following areas: . Accounting, Administrative Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Technologies, Management, MIS (Management Information Systems), Marketing, Financial Services Informatics, Organizational Management, International Business, Business Analytics, Finance and Banking, Risk Management and Insurance, Mathematics for Business, Information and Computer Technology, Economics, International Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Construction, Industrial Design, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Transportation, Science, Industrial Arts, Trade and Industrial Education, Graphic Design, Graphic Production, Animation and Visualization, Architecture, Construction, Industrial Design, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Transportation, Science, Industrial Arts, Trade and Industrial Education, Graphic Design, Graphic Production, Animation and Visualization, Computer Programming, Game Design and Development, Computer Programming, Game Software Engineering, Simulation and Game Animation, Digital Effects and Animation Technology or Game Art Design and degrees that integrate STEM such as Technology or Engineering.
• Minimum of two years of industry-related work experience in the following areas: engineer, construction manager, graphics designer, industrial designer, electronics technician, computer technician, network technician, manufacturing technician, construction related technician, project developer, previous teaching experience in this content area Accountant/ CPA, business analyst, business manager, operations analyst, marketing manager, systems analyst, database administrator, management analyst, computer programmer/ analyst, chief information officer, chief financial officer, loan officer, ecommerce manager, stock broker, investment advisor, financial analyst, sales manager, retail manager, corporate or personal financial manager, buyer, public relations manager, internet production industry to include web design, computer programmer, web designer, security analyst, software developer, mobile app developer, internet production industry, network administrator, data scientist, user interface/graphic design, IT compliance, IT strategist, virtualization manager, electronic engineering technician, computer engineering technician, network engineer, network engineering technician, IT technician, IT service desk,project manager, tech support specialist, field service technician, data support technician, desktop support administrator, end user computing technician, system support specialist, IT Consultant, security specialist, security engineer, systemsadministrator, security consultant, security engineer, junior IT auditor, previous teaching experience in this content area.
Physical Requirements
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
•The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
•Must possess the visual acuity to prepare data, work with record processes, and do extensive reading and research.
•Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, etc.
