We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to provide installation support and technical expertise to our clients in the automotive OEM, tier 1 suppliers, and industrial sectors. This role is key in helping our customers maintain their systems’ performance through hands-on troubleshooting, start-up support, and training. You’ll work directly with both internal teams and external customers, ensuring successful installations and seamless operations, all while building relationships and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
- Provide expert installation support and technical assistance to customers, distributors, and internal personnel.
- Oversee the installation of Liquid and Powder Coating systems, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
- Collaborate closely with customers and installation contractors to ensure all system installations are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct start-up, troubleshooting, and debugging of automatic electrostatic painting systems to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Train plant personnel on system operations and preventative maintenance to empower them to operate and maintain equipment autonomously.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with system performance through prompt troubleshooting and proactive solutions.
- Gather valuable customer feedback on product performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (preferably in Electrical Engineering, with experience in AutoCAD or similar design software) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and an exceptional sense of integrity.
- Highly developed organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Binks product line or similar systems.
- 1-3 years of electrical or mechanical experience in industrial settings, especially with small programmable controllers.
- Ability to read and interpret installation blueprints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Adaptability to work in dynamic and diverse environments.
