West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, a 48 bed acute/complex continuing care facility located in Grimsby, Ontario serving the needs of the West Niagara community, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. The Rehabilitation Department provides services that include assessment, treatment, education, and consultation with the interdisciplinary team for acute, complex continuing care clients, and Emergency patients.
As a member of the health care team, assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the rehabilitation of inpatients and outpatients who have a variety of disabling conditions. In addition, assist with clerical and reception duties in the Rehabilitation Department.

1. Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a recognized community college
2. CPR/First Aid up to date
3. Demonstrated knowledge and use of good physical body mechanics
4. Knowledge of equipment, such as wheelchairs, surfaces, and other ADL equipment
5. Working knowledge of InfoMed, MediTech, Outlook, Excel, and Word
6. Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant in a health care setting within the last two years
7. Demonstrated ability to interact with patients, families, and co-workers in an effective, profession, positive, caring manner
