We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep, repair, and facility support of all Better Companies. The Maintenance Supervisor role is an In-office position based at our Irvine office, ideal for candidates within a commutable distance. This full-time, exempt role offers a pay range of $87,000 - $94,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that this position is not open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.  

 

What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal teams and vendors, serving as the main point of contact for facilities-related questions.
  • Manage and develop maintenance staff and day porters, overseeing daily operations, training, performance, and career growth throughout the full employment lifecycle
  • Conduct regular inspections, prepare maintenance schedules, and perform or supervise repairs, including painting, carpentry, furniture assembly, carpet work, and minor electrical tasks.
    Coordinate office moves and space planning, collaborating with executive leadership to optimize floor layouts and workstation setups.
  • Manage vendors and contracted services, including sourcing bids, overseeing on-site work, and controlling costs
  • Maintain safety and compliance, including fire safety, emergency procedures, workplace standards, and key/access management.
    Respond promptly to facility tickets and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to staff and operations.
  • Keep accurate inventory and asset records, and perform other facilities-related duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or building operations.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety, emergency response, and workplace safety standards.
  • Experience coordinating office moves, vendor management, and space planning.
  • Hands-on skills in painting, carpentry, furniture assembly, and basic electrical work.
  • Clear and professional communication skills and the ability to enforce safety procedures.
    Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing maintenance staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to getting things done efficiently.
  • Comfort using tools, equipment, and cleaning machinery as needed.
    Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, move furniture, and use ladders safely.
