Introduction:

SymphonyAI is seeking a dedicated IT Desktop Support Specialist for our London office, a key hub in our EMEA operations. This role is crucial in delivering reliable, professional, and seamless IT support for our employees, leadership teams, and visiting clients. You will be responsible for providing expert onsite assistance with laptops, desktop software, onboarding and offboarding processes, workstation setups, and meeting room technology.

Job Description:

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert onsite IT support for London office employees, including troubleshooting laptops, desktops, peripherals, and software issues.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, ensuring smooth access to IT resources and secure management of accounts and equipment.
  • Set up and maintain workstations and meeting room technology, ensuring all equipment is operational, professionally presented, and fit for both internal and client-facing purposes.
  • Deliver timely support during leadership meetings and client visits, ensuring all technology functions seamlessly and upholds SymphonyAI’s professional standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address IT requests and proactively resolve issues to minimise downtime and service interruption.
  • Provide occasional support for datacentres in Slough and Slovenia, assisting with infrastructure maintenance and incident response as required.
  • Document support activities, maintain inventory, and update asset management records to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute ideas for optimising IT services and support delivery.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: Proven track record (3+ years) in IT desktop support or similar technical support roles, ideally in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows and Mac operating systems, Office 365, networking basics, and AV/meeting room equipment. Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. Professional presence when dealing with leadership and clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and resolve issues efficiently under pressure.
  • Team Player: Proactive, reliable, and customer-focused attitude with a commitment to service excellence and operational continuity.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to occasionally travel to datacentres in Slough and Slovenia if required.
