With over 90 people, the Employer Consulting team specialises in varying disciplines such as pensions, health & risk, wellbeing, data analytics and employee engagement.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Risk Consultant to join the team on a hybrid basis in one of our ten offices. 

The role is to provide consultancy services and advice to SME employers on employee benefit plans.  A Consultant will have a general knowledge of a specific area, such as Healthcare and / or Group Risk.

A Health & Risk Consultant is responsible for the day to day delivery of consultancy services to the client in the relevant areas, advising on the implementation and maintenance of employee benefit plans.  An important part of the role is to maintain high levels of client care and client satisfaction.  The Consultant is required to assist the CRM (Client Relationship Manager), Senior Consultants and Service Head in developing existing clients and in the acquisition of new SME business.  As such, expert knowledge of group risk and/or private medical insurance is required.

This is an FCA controlled function “CF30” role.  The Health & Risk Consultant is required to work in accordance with the firm’s internal procedures and in accordance with FCA and other regulation.

A snapshot of your day:

  • Supporting with Business Development activities
  • Develop SME specialism, subject, sector and technical knowledge.
  • Deliver Desk Based Consultancy to a portfolio of SME Clients
  • Contribute towards annual Client Plans for each client.
  • Coach and assist in the development of Benefit Analysts and Client Support.
  • Analyse information and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Issue invoices monitoring WIP and income receipts.
  • Timely completion of timesheets.
  • Maintain records in accordance with internal guidelines and procedures.
  • Regular contact with client by telephone, email and letter.

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience and technical knowledge of Private Medical Insurance, Group Risk and associated benefits 
  • Client facing consultancy experience 
  • Experience in wider areas of employee benefits and wellbeing
  • Relevant industry qualifications, or progress towards including Certificate in Insurance (CII) and/or Certificate in Heath and Protection (CII) are desirable.
  • Maths & English GCSE or equivalent (minimum grade 5/C).
