Information Systems Analyst en Mendocino County Office Of Education

The Mendocino County Office of Education is a public agency whose primary purpose is to provide educational leadership, resources and services to schools to ensure wide-ranging educational opportunities for all students. This mission is accomplished through cooperative efforts with teachers, school districts, families, and communities; through direct instructional programs and administrative services; and through coordination with the California Department of Education and other agencies.

Under limited supervision of a Director of Technology, maintain software systems and troubleshoot problems with third-party software; recommend, design, install, maintain and administer local and wide area network systems and peripherals; security and firewall systems; analyze, troubleshoot and correct complex network protocol and data communications issues; maintain and enhance existing software code; recommend long-range plans for enhanced security and threat detection and mitigation.

BENEFITS Employees are provided with an insurance plan, which includes health, vision, and dental insurance for employee, spouse, and dependents, at a shared cost. Participation in this plan is mandatory for employees working 35 plus hours a week. Employee will be a member of the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) to which both the employee and MCOE contribute. Employee may elect to be a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees Union. MCOE does not participate in the Social Security system. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Four (4) years of college-level coursework in computer science, information systems, business services, programming, network administration or data communication or four (4) years experience in related information technology employment; • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in the design of networked hardware and software; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; • Provide proof of automobile insurability; and • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting twenty-five (25) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds with assistance. $40.46 – $67.51 an hour as per Range 48 on the Classified Salary Schedule. Dependent on experience.
