Outside Sales Representative
 
The Trident Company has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Representative in their Houston, TX location. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining a loyal customer base by focusing on meeting customer needs, building relationships and achieving The Trident Company goal as a customer-value driven company. Responsibilities will include direct selling to established customers as well as developing sales prospects within their assigned territory. The Outside Sales Representative must have a full understanding of the sales process, customer relations, steel fabrication and safety. Will work closely with engineers and general contractors; will work with estimating department to ensure that bids and proposals are completed per customer requirements and will utilize strong sales skills to influence customer decisions regarding structural steel construction.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Grows profitable sales within strategic and opportunistic growth segments.
  • Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales.
  • Schedules and performs cold calls to existing customers in their assigned territory.
  • Researches and provides competitive information regarding the carbon-ferrous steel industry.
  • Maintains a key customer base by ensuring profitable business relationships.
  • Estimates, quotes effectively customer projects. Converts opportunities into invoiced sales.
  • Maintains a current understanding of industry trends and technical developments that influence target accounts.
  • Monitors, analyzes and communicates sales data to contribute to product/service schedule and planning.
  • Responds to customer information requests; collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure a timely and accurate response.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of an Outside Sales Representative.
  • Adheres to Reliance, Inc. Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
