We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Intern to join our team for Summer of 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management within the manufacturing industry. As a Purchasing Intern, you will support the purchasing team in daily operations and strategic projects, gaining valuable exposure to procurement processes, vendor management, inventory control, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors.
- Support the purchasing team in processing purchase orders and managing supplier communications.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with order replenishment.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to procurement activities and performance.
- Help negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers under supervision.
- Research new products, materials, and services to support business needs.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely material procurement.
- Maintain accurate records by updating procurement databases and documentation.
- Participate in supplier performance evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager or team.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn about manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior internship or academic experience related to purchasing or supply chain is a plus, but not required.
