AV Project Coordinator II en The University of South Florida Board of Trustees

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Management Coordination: Works with USF departments to coordinate and install a variety of AV/IT solutions on campus and off-site satellite locations. Works alongside USF Facilities to obtain necessary infrastructure upgrades, ensuring all installations are code compliant and consulting with AVES engineering team to develop system designs and scopes of work. The focus is on effective coordination and implementation of AV/IT projects across various locations.
2. Customer Contact: Meets with customers to determine AV system requirements, conducting site visits to capture specific details of installation spaces and acting as the main point-of-contact for larger scale projects, including technology training. The focus is on delivering comprehensive AV solutions to meet customer needs while contributing to project management and technical support.
3. Documentation: Documents all phases of the projects in the project management platform, including basic communication of progress as well as milestone deliveries such as SoW, Quotes, Purchase Orders, and commissioning checklists. Coordinates closely with the design team to prepare proposals and designs for customer's sign-off.
4.  Technical Commissioning/ Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots technical problems related to AV installations and equipment, resolving, or providing replacement solutions as needed. Collaborates with the team to implement preventive maintenance procedures, ensuring the long-term functionality of AV systems. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance AV/IT system integration and develops standard operating procedures for efficient system management.
5. Participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
6. Performs other duties as assigned
    

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree and two years of IT related work experience; OR a combination of six years of IT related work experience and validated training. Preparation for a relevant IT certification is considered to be related training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

An AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is preferred.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

• SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
• A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
• (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
