The Role
We’re seeking a polished and dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our award-winning In-Room Dining team at Crown Towers Melbourne. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our high-volume room service offering.
Guided by Crown’s 4Cs of Service Excellence—Be Courteous, Connect, Create and Care, you’ll lead by example, support and coach the front-of-house team and ensure every guest receives a premium dining experience in the comfort of their room. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their leadership journey within a luxury hotel environment.
Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of In-Room Dining, ensuring service excellence
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Maintain outlet readiness, grooming standards and compliance with Crown policies
- Support financial objectives including cost control and revenue optimisation
- Uphold Crown’s service standards and values across all guest interactions
- Manage rostering, labour forecasting and team performance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and responsible service obligations
About You
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a large scale, luxury hotel
- Leadership capability to mentor, support & develop team members
- A genuine passion for hospitality & delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Strong business acumen, time management and attention to detail
- Is adaptable in high pressure situations and open to change if the business requires
- Strong computer literacy skills including strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with guests and stakeholders at all levels
