Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead material planning, procurement, and supplier management across two high-performing and growing semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role will oversee supply chain operations supporting the design, fabrication, assembly, and distribution of advanced RF microchip-level MMICs and multi-chip modules (MCMs). The ideal candidate has a proven record of managing complex semiconductor or high-reliability electronics supply chains, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency while building resilient global supplier networks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor material planning and procurement teams at both Peachtree Corners and Marriottsville facilities.
- Develop talent, set performance metrics, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage MRP/ERP systems to balance demand forecasts, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
- Ensure alignment of material availability with engineering builds, pilot runs, and full-scale production schedules.
- Oversee planning for RF wafer fabs, test/packaging partners, substrates, and critical semiconductor raw materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers of wafers, substrates, packaging materials, and electronic components.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements to ensure continuity of supply.
- Drive supplier qualification, performance management, and compliance with quality, security, and regulatory standards (ITAR, DFARS, ISO9001, AS9100)
- Establish and monitor optimal inventory levels to balance working capital efficiency and production readiness.
- Coordinate logistics for inbound raw materials and outbound shipments to customers, contract manufacturers, and distribution partners.
- Support Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) with monthly assessments of supply and demand constraint management plans.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations for semiconductor materials and defense-related technology.
- Develop and implement supply chain KPIs (OTD, PPV, inventory turns, supplier performance).
- Identify risks in wafer supply, packaging capacity, and specialty materials, and create contingency plans.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to increase supply chain resilience, reduce lead times, and optimize cost structures.
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, material planning, or procurement, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role & a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Would also consider equivalent years of hands-on experience in lieu of a degree.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements to ensure continuity of supply.
- Experience in with low volume, high mix, high complexity manufacturing environment.
- Experienced application of Lean concepts in a manufacturing or planning capacity.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and other related tools.
- Ability to travel 15% of the time (between sites)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
- Expertise in Oracle ERP/MRP systems or similar.
- Direct experience with MMICs, multi-chip modules, or related high-reliability electronics supply chains.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract execution skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export controls and government contracting compliance desirable.
- Semiconductor, RF/microwave, aerospace/defense electronics, or advanced manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
