- Own all aspects of Spoonflower’s ecommerce experience, including the shopping experience, site merchandising and content, product discovery and navigation, and conversion optimization
- Define the long-term site and ecommerce strategy, including site architecture (e.g., site navigation, page types, page flows, CTAs) and site merchandising and content strategy
- Identify strategic areas to improve site conversion based on a deep understanding of the customer, site metrics, industry best practices, brand, and business goals
- Partner with Product and Engineering to shape product roadmap and development of features that improve the user experience
- Adjust the site strategy based on customer feedback (both qualitative and quantitative), assessment of the competitive landscape (site merchandising strategies of key competitors and best-in-class online retailers) and emerging online trends
- Build site merchandising and content strategy and calendar to ensure that our site effectively communicates key messages (e.g., inspiration, education, product information and messaging) and moves new and existing customers through the purchase funnel
- Partner with Merchandising and Marketing to understand product and content priorities, upcoming collaborations, editorial calendar, marketing campaigns and incorporate these considerations into site merchandising and content approach
- Oversee the creative development process for the site, from creative briefs to providing feedback at creative reviews on creative/copy that does/does not meet business goals to providing direction for prioritization of site projects for creative
- Lead the day-to-day execution of our site, including creation of new pages, content updates, and AB testing
- Develop and execute a prioritized testing roadmap, with a defined testing cycle and delivery of measurable conversion improvements
- Contribute ideas for testing based on analysis of site data
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to optimize the full funnel site experience from acquisition to retention and identify areas for improvement
- Monitor and report on ecommerce KPI's (e.g., conversion, bounce/exit, cart abandon, category revenues, PDP views, search utilization) and be able to explain the business drivers behind fluctuations in these metrics
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews for the site
- Utilize data and analytics to support making both short- and long-term ecommerce changes
- Build, manage, mentor, and develop a small team of ecommerce managers and specialists

- Experience: 8+ years of experience in Ecommerce and online consumer shopping behaviors in a direct-to-consumer environment. Proven experience closely collaborating with Marketing (Performance, CRM) and Product/Engineering to drive performance outcomes.
- Expertise: Ecommerce expertise required. Deep understanding of digital commerce, CX, merchandising, marketing, and site operations. Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, and financial acumen.
- Tools: Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, AB testing platforms, and BI tools like Google Looker. Hands-on experience with a CMS and/or other tools for website content management.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.
California : [$144,250 - $204,500]
Connecticut and New York: [$144,250 - $187,000]
Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$144,250 - $173,250]
Nevada: [$135,500 - $187,000]
Maryland and New Jersey: [$155,750 - $187,000]
Hawaii: [$135,500 – $162,750]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
