Production Planning Director (Calvert, AL, US) en Outokumpu

As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a manufacturing Production Planning Director and be part of our Supply Chain team in Calvert, North Mobile County, Alabama.

Objective: Responsible for developing and managing an agile, market-responsive, and balanced end-to-end supply chain across Business Area Americas. To develop, steer, and manage production planning and scheduling for all BAA mill assets end-to-end, including specific target setting.

Job qualifications and experience requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field. 
• Master’s degree preferred.
• > 8-10 years of experience in a demanding leadership role.
• Proven experience in metallurgical or heavy manufacturing environments.
• Expertise in production planning processes, principles, and practices
• Solid grasp technical requirements and constraints of metallurgical production to ensure production plans.

Some responsibilities are:

• Develop, steer, and manage all supply chain activities for Business Area mills’ production planning, including specific target setting in collaboration with S&OP team.
• Use business strategy and Business Area Americas Supply Chain strategy as input for Production Planning & Scheduling strategy definition, aligned with BAA Supply Chain.
• Manage on-time, in-full supply of products to customers from order booking through delivery, including regular updates to planning parameters to manage Business Area Americas inventories.
• Balance supply and demand in short-term horizons, including capacity planning and inventory management, contributing to Business Area Americas Sales & Operations Planning.
• Responsible for BA-specific supply chain KPIs (e.g. inventory and delivery performance).
• Act as contact point for order fulfillment topics for business counterparts.
• Validate feasibility of S&OP plan for BA mill assets.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing identified opportunities, making incremental process changes, and implementing a fully demand driven production planning method.

Salary range: USD.136,200-170,300
