The Role + Purpose:
- General Management
- Initiate and manage all annual fabric and yarn platforms for Madewell.
- Partner closely with the mills to understand monthly usage.
- Create and manage the platform chart.
- Oversee materials management and report liability status quarterly
- Own and manage all MW mill onboarding set-up.
- Enhance efficiency of organizational processes and procedures to achieve strategic and operational objectives. (PLC)
- Costing
- Support in all platform cost negotiations.
- Partner closely with all team leads on fabric development target management and seasonal spend. (PLC)
- Manage a seasonal chart for both fabric targets and seasonal spend (PLC)
- Calendar Management
- Build RM’s seasonal tactical calendar (PLC)
- Partner closely with Brand Creative for the seasonal packaging calendar deliverables. (PLC)
- Documentation and Tracking
- Partner closely with both Operations and Sourcing on all liabilities for the quarterly report.
- Monitor, track changes and report fabric quantity status directly with mills/vendors and internal partners.
- Manage price validation and negotiations, lead-times and delivery requirements and any raw material issues that arise seasonally
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operations management role
- Knowledge of data management specific to fabric.
- Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PLM, MIRO)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build alignment and partnerships with cross functional teams and mills.
- A detail-oriented, organized problem solver
- Ability to work well under pressure, operate with a sense of urgency, meet deadlines and multitask.
