The Opportunity:
We're looking for a skilled Data Engineer to build and maintain the infrastructure that enables our data-driven decisions. In this role, you'll be responsible for the design, construction, and management of robust and scalable data pipelines, ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and secure for analysis and machine learning applications.

Responsibilities:
· Design and build data pipelines: Develop, construct, and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines using modern tools and frameworks. This includes designing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to ingest data from a variety of sources.
· Data integration and transformation: Integrate data from disparate systems, APIs, and databases. Transform raw data into clean, structured formats that are optimized for performance and analysis by data scientists and analysts.
· Infrastructure management: Work with cloud-based platforms and containerization technologies to deploy and manage data services. Ensure the data infrastructure is resilient, scalable, and cost-effective.
· Data modeling: Design and implement data models and schemas that support reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
· Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary data access and tooling.

Qualifications:
Required:
· 6+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s or equivalent job experience.

· Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python is essential.

· Data Pipeline Tools: Experience with modern data pipeline and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, NiFi, Dagster, or Prefect.
· Data Warehousing and Databases: Expertise in working with both NoSQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
· Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and its data services (e.g., S3).
· Operating Systems: While deep expertise in a specific OS isn't always a requirement, a solid understanding of Linux and command-line tools is a fundamental skill for managing server environments and scripting.
· APIs and Connectors: Experience working with various APIs (REST, FastAPI) and data connectors to ingest data from third-party services.

Desired:

Experience with other languages like SQL, Java, or Scala is a plus.
· Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data frameworks like Apache Kafka is highly desirable.
