As a Home Support Worker, you’ll provide essential help around the home for our clients, supporting their independence, right to chose and wellbeing through practical day-to-day assistance.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll visit clients in their homes to provide domestic support — no personal or clinical care required.

You’ll also make an impact by:

• Helping clients maintain a clean and safe home environment (e.g. vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and general tidying)
• Preparing simple home-cooked meals and assisting with grocery shopping
• Providing transport to local appointments or community activities
• Offering friendly conversation and companionship during your visits
• Representing Helping Hand positively in the community with professionalism and care

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
• Current driver licence
• A registered, well-maintained, reliable and insured vehicle
• Good communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
• Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

• Previous experience in providing domestic services in a community setting.
• Knowledge of local area including shopping centers, services within the local community
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently.
