Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced iOS Native Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability across native iOS applications. The role involves developing and maintaining advanced automated testing frameworks, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with Agile teams to enhance test coverage and product stability. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to continuous improvement, embrace Agile and SAFe principles, and drive testing excellence throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for native iOS applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to assess feature changes and advocate for testable design.
- Execute a range of test cases including functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
- Integrate and manage automated tests within CI/CD environments such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis on test failures and report bugs with comprehensive documentation.
- Utilize both white-box and black-box testing approaches for complete coverage.
- Participate in Agile planning and estimation, contributing to test strategy and roadmap development.
- Ensure adherence to software quality standards and continuous improvement throughout the SDLC.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Education/Certification: AWS Certification required.
- Programming Proficiency: Strong coding experience in Swift, Java, Python, or C#.
- Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or JMeter.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of QA principles, software development processes, and TDD practices.
- Agile Experience: Demonstrated success working in Agile, DevOps, and SAFe environments.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration abilities.
- Work Requirements: Flexibility to attend on-site sessions in Washington, D.C. as required, including SAFe ceremonies such as Program Increment (PI) planning).
