Essential Job Duties:
• Process weekly and biweekly payroll accurately and on time for all company employees.
• Maintain payroll records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Administer wage garnishments, benefit deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
• Verify timekeeping records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper approvals.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and finance.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Support annual audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to improve payroll processes and systems.
• Works closely with upper-level management across the company to provide payroll insights, support decision-making, and ensure consistency with organizational objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, OR comparable record of accounting, finance, human resources experience is required.
• 3-5 years of payroll experience required, preferably in a multi-state environment.
• Strong proficiency with leading payroll systems such as ADP, with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-state payroll processes and reporting.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Physical Requirements:
• Work primarily in an office environment with a regular work schedule as determined by manager. May be required to report earlier or work later for specific tasks or events.
• Regular prolonged periods of sitting.
• Regular engagement in repetitive motions, such as keyboarding for data entry and use of office equipment at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to view computer screens for extended durations while being capable of navigating menus and screens and adjusting focus as needed.
• Occasional lifting or moving of objects, such as books and files weighing up to 15 pounds.

The intended base pay range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related qualifications (such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience), location, and/or schedule. Depending on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered.
