The Senior Corporate Purchaser is responsible for managing the day-to-day procurement of goods and services to support the needs of the company and the procurement department including ordering materials, supplies, and equipment for projects of all sizes in various locations.
  • Execute and direct specific procurement plans and programs, to reduce costs, obtain schedule requirements & ensure quality.
  • May supervise other purchasers assigned to provide procurement support on projects.
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of procurement documents and agreements.
  • Perform commercial bid evaluations of supplier proposals and coordinate technical evaluations and recommendations.
  • Prepare expediting supplier submittals to facilitate the execution of agreements.
  • Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, expedite, and administer the procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontracts as assigned.
  • Coordinate and get responses for all questions during the proposal period and facilitate pre-bid meetings.
  • Receive, log, distribute, tabulate, and analyze proposals.
  • Make recommendations for award of contracts.
  • Evaluate supplier's overall performance.
  • Prepare purchase order documents, procurement status reports and expediting reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Management, Law, Construction or related field. and 7 years project procurement, project field procurement/materials management, or EPC procurement related experience. Required
  • Procurement, contract administration, claims management and limited supervisory experience desired.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), interpersonal skills, analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle Financial Rel 11 software experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in terms and conditions related to procurement of engineered equipment as well as strong negotiation skills desired.
