Summary:

The Assistant Director of Mental Health Residential Services is a member of administrative team responsible for directing recovery-oriented treatment for clients placed in Envision Unlimited’s residential facilities. Responsible for program planning/implementation and evaluation of program, providing direct supervision and training to mental health residential staff and interns, and coordinating/maintaining overall efficiencies of the program/residences.

Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

•  Participate in administrative decision-making with the Director of Mental Health

•  Ensure compliance with DHS, CARF, and other regulatory bodies

•  Develop and evaluate policies, procedures, and recovery-oriented programming

•  Maintain Key Performance Indicators for the MH Residential Program

•  Supervise and train residential staff and interns; oversee House Managers

•  Manage staff scheduling, payroll approvals, and shift coverage

•  Build and maintain a registry for external shift coverage

•  Monitor staff productivity and documentation standards

•  Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff

•  Collaborate with MH Intake Coordinator to maintain census capacity

•  Attend supervisions, meetings, committees, and support outreach effort


Clinical Expectations:

•  Coordinate interviews, assessments, and orientations for new clients

•  Provide crisis interventions and risk assessments; complete incident reports within 24 hours

•  Ensure services align with individual treatment plans

•  Maintain accurate records in Quantum (EHR)

•  Oversee referral transitions and maintain clinical documentation compliance

•  Meet productivity targets and documentation deadlines

•  Serve as LPHA for IM-CAN reviews

•  Attend all clinical and staff meeting

•  Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to program needs

•  Attend committee meetings and client events

•  Complete 15+ hours of approved training annually and share learnings

•  Report safety concerns and seek supervisory support as needed

•  Uphold agency policies, confidentiality standards, and ethical codes

•  Maintain professionalism and punctuality across all functions

•  Respond sensitively to diverse populations

Requirements

EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications: 

· Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field

· 5+ years of experience in social services

· 1+ year of supervisory/managerial experience

· Strong communication and leadership skills


Compensation & Benefits

 Salary: $65,000–$75,000/year

 Time Off: 15 vacation days, 12 holidays, 3 sick days, 3 personal days
