Job Purpose/Summary 

  • Responsible for overseeing programming for Site Coordinators in assigned cohort. Responsible for overseeing school site implementation of the CIS Model at each of the comprehensive CIS of Nevada sites within the manager's cohort. Oversees Site Coordinators in cohort in the development, planning, implementation, and supervision of tasks associated with the annual School Support Plans to include Tier I, Tier II and Tier III services. Monitors school-wide and student goals across the cohort to ensure progress to meeting goals. Works closely with & reports to the Executive Director to ensure Site Coordinators' oversight and development needs are met. Works closely with school staff, parents/families, community agencies and students to assure coordination of services for the benefit of the students and their families. Assists in the development of new CIS of Nevada school sites. Performs all reasonable and work-related duties assigned by CIS of Nevada leadership. Oversees the coordination of services and building of relationships with school administration and community partners for the benefit of the students and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Train, orientate, supervise and coach comprehensive site staff 

  • Provide effective leadership to Site Coordinator team by articulating and promoting high standards of service, core values, ethics, and professional conduct.
  • Assist with development and implementation of ongoing training plan for Site Coordinators including new hire orientation, beginning of school year training, recurring programmatic trainings and staff meetings. 
  • Aid in support of Site Coordinator's continual exposure to outside agency trainings.
  • Assist Site Coordinator in formulating both the Needs Assessment & the School Support Plan.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to Site Coordinators in formulating and implementing campus Tier I,II, and III supports. Ensure Tier I, II, and III supports are being implemented according to the school support plan and in accordance with national standards.
  • Facilitate meetings with school site administration for approval and signatures on school support plan and school support agreement.
  • Facilitate comprehensive end of year site assessments.
  • Review and oversee case management documentation, follow-up and quality assistance to students and family.
  • Provide Site Coordinators and site team with updated information regarding affiliate leadership and other organizational updates.
  • Oversee working with school management and district to monitor feeder schools and the transition of case managed students to and from those schools.
  • Assist with coordinating feeder pattern schools to develop transition plans for case managed students.

Financial Responsibility 

  • Maintain and oversee school site budgets and maintain fiscal responsibility across cohort of
  • schools.
  • Administer purchases, keep records and receipts.
  • Reconcile monthly transactions & report expenses. Plan and analyze expenses for the year to meet goals.
  • Report any discrepancies or purchase errors.
  • Manage employee performance against defined goals.

 

Manage employee performance against defined goals 

  • Continuously monitor staff performance measures to ensure organizational goals are being met.
  • Conduct 90 Day Performance Reviews of newly hired employees and annual reviews for other direct reports.
  • Facilitate and ensure the submittal of all coordinators’ human resource documents.
  • Supervise the work of Site Coordinators by regularly visiting each school site, meeting with CIS personnel and directly observing work at site.
  • Coach, train and guide direct reports ensuring that one on one meetings occur at least twice a month with each Site Coordinator.
  • Ensure proper documentation and signage of Coordinator semi-monthly timesheets & calendar reporting.


Data Responsibility 

  • Work with Data Director to create and update service details in CISDM.
  • Verify & share quarterly data reporting to school staff.
  • Coordinate ongoing staff data trainings with Data Team.
  • Communicate Accreditation updates, training, and support needs to Data Team.
  • Monitor & provide monthly data feedback to site coordinators. Communicate expectations for corrections and deadlines, provide feedback on performance.
  • Analyze and review data reports to provide direction to staff members on student and school outcomes.


Site Staff and Campus Connections

  • Communicate, develop and maintain positive relationships with site staff/school administration.
  • Ensure coordinators and CIS are actively working to increase and strengthen campus relations, knowledge and organizational visibility.
  • Provide Site Coordinators with continual exposure to outside agency resources.
  • Assist with the development of community partner relationships to help enhance student outcomes and fulfill needs of school site.


Affiliate Relations and Leadership

  • Attend and participate actively in all required CIS staff meetings.
  • Organize and facilitate Site Coordinator monthly staff meetings.
  • Participate in CIS programmatic and professional development trainings.
  • Assist in the preparation for and execution of CIS fundraising activities and events.
  • Participate as an active member of the CIS Affiliate, through attendance and active participation in meetings, trainings, professional development, fundraising activities, and other activities as required.

Qualifications and Competencies

Qualifications

  • Minimum of demonstrated mastery of skills of a CIS Site Coordinator III who is effectively managing the school site with minimal supervision and maintains an excellent relationship with school site administration and staff. Has shown year over year improvement in student outcomes and has completed the trainings required for a Site Coordinator II, Level 1.

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or related field and experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Experience in managing youth programs and services; experience in creating, executing, and collecting data for youth services programs with minimal supervision, and evidence of creating excellent relationships with agency and school administration and staff.
  • Knowledge of data collection and proficiency tracking progress within the framework consistent with our programmatic requirement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, along with computer and data base skills.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background check, fingerprint screen and drug testing.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work environment is indoors and climate controlled. Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Travel required to and from school sites.
  • Moderate noise levels as found in a business office and classroom setting.
