At Nevada Heart and Vascular Center (NHVC), the Technical Revenue Operations Manager, under the direction of the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations, is responsible for building, monitoring, and maintaining all revenue-related system interfaces that enable clean and timely data flow across NHVC, hospital partners, and vendors. This role serves as the technical lead for integrations with AthenaOne, HybridChart, hospital ADT feeds, and other third-party platforms, ensuring interface accuracy, security, and stability. The Manager also develops and maintains the analytic infrastructure that supports revenue cycle optimization, including allowable methodologies and contract interpretation, payer variance reviews, and leadership dashboards. Acting as both technical liaison and project manager, this role coordinates with hospital IT, external vendors, and internal departments to implement new technologies, resolve integration errors, and provide actionable data insights that safeguard financial performance. This role also serves as the primary liaison with Medmetrix (MMX) for reporting accuracy, ensuring that yield, denials, payment, and month-end reports are validated, corrected, and aligned with NHVC’s internal data.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, analytics, or a related field; or a minimum of ten years of equivalent professional experience.
· Minimum of five years in healthcare revenue analytics, finance, or related technical role.
· Advanced Excel, Power BI, or SQL skills strongly preferred.
· Experience in payer variance analysis and revenue optimization strategies.
· Familiarity with AthenaOne or similar EHR/PM system integrations preferred.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
· Familiarity with yield, denial, and payment reporting in revenue cycle operations.
· Strong communication skills to escalate errors with vendors and ensure resolution.
· Ability to audit vendor-provided reports and validate against internal data.
· Experience with translating operational workflows into measurable metrics for leadership reporting.
· Ability to build dashboards in Smartsheet, Power BI, or SQL for ongoing monitoring.
· Strong understanding of RCM KPIs (COH days, FPCR, denial rates, DAR, auth timeliness, scheduling compliance).
· Knowledge of healthcare payer contracts and allowable methodologies.
· Ability to interpret payer contracts to extrapolate allowable amounts and implement methodologies that identify and analyze payer variances.
· Analytical skills to review payer variances and escalate findings.
· Proficiency with reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization.
· Strong collaboration skills to partner with internal teams and external vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Partner with the NHVC Data analytics team to ensure MMX reports align with NHVC internal analytics.
· Maintain a log of MMX reporting errors, escalations, and resolutions.
· Identify discrepancies and work with MMX analysts to correct reports before distribution to leadership.
· Review MMX-provided reports (yield, denials, payments, month-end) for accuracy and consistency against AthenaOne and internal data.
· Translate AthenaOne and HybridChart data into actionable insights for operational leads (front desk, scheduling, MAs, providers).
· Provide ad hoc analytics support for the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations and leadership (financial modeling, payer impact analysis, volume trending).
· Develop and maintain RCM operational dashboards (COH, denials, auth turnaround, PET scheduling compliance, registration errors).
· Monitor all revenue-related system interfaces (HybridChart, AthenaOne, hospital ADT, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely data flow.
· Establish proactive monitoring processes to identify interface failures.
· Notify appropriate internal teams when data issues occur and escalate unresolved problems to vendor tech support and NHVC leadership.
· Collaborate with vendors and hospital IT teams to troubleshoot, test, and resolve interface errors.
· Maintain documentation of interface workflows, error logs, downtime, and resolutions.
· Provide regular reports to the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations on interface performance and issues.
· Create and maintain a comprehensive Interface Repository documenting all active and planned system integrations.
· Maintain records including interface purpose, technical specifications, key contacts, SLA commitments, incident history, and change management details.
· Serve as the single source of truth for NHVC revenue-related integrations and provide quarterly reports to leadership.
· Serve as the technical project lead for HybridChart implementation and future revenue cycle technology rollouts.
· Coordinate testing, validation, and workflow documentation for HybridChart and other vendor integrations.
· Ensure HybridChart data integrity and seamless integration with AthenaOne and hospital ADT feeds.
· Monitor HybridChart dashboards, reports, and queues for accuracy and escalate technical issues.
· Build and maintain allowable tables in athena by modality using payer allowable amounts.
· Automate allowable table reporting processes in coordination with Athena and vendor IT.
· Perform payer variance reviews and escalate discrepancies to leadership.
· Develop dashboards and analytic reports for leadership and board review.
· Support revenue cycle uplift and optimization projects with technical data modeling.
· Provide analytic insights and recommendations to the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations.
WORK CONDITIONS:
This is a remote position. Travel of approximately, but not limited to, one week per month may be required. All travel related expenses will be reimbursed. Employee will complete work during normal working PST hours.
