We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Paint Technician / Painter to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting workpieces to meet precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial painting, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret work orders to identify and prepare correct paint colors.
• Prepare surfaces using hand/air tools, cleaning lacquers, and masking tape.
• Apply primer and paint to exterior surfaces of workpieces according to specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment; change paint filters per maintenance schedule.
• Assemble and disassemble basic paint equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to prioritize paint tasks.
• Track paint usage, filter changes, and manage supply orders.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of painting experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient in using paint sprayers and related equipment.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane and drive a hi-lo.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and paint specifications.
• Strong team player with the ability to take direction and work independently.
• High attention to safety and detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment: This position operates in a manufacturing site environment.  This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.

Work type & Expected hours of work:   Regularly works on-site at local Paslin location. Typical work schedules for this site are 6am-230pm, Monday to Friday. This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
