We're currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer to be based in our East Anglia region to join the Project Delivery team to ensure assigned CAPEX projects are delivered in a compliant, effective and efficient manner from concept through to closure. You'll act as an advocate for and upholder of ABP values and vision and align SSP with the ABP Group Project Management strategy, policy, procedure and controls.
Key Accountabilities
- Regular and timely project reporting enabling portfolio visibility, robust cash flow forecasting and risk management.
- Audit projects for compliance and delivery to the plan.
- Develop procurement strategies and project execution synergies, hence providing optimum value for money.
- Hold a full awareness of the 5-year business plan ensuring project sub-teams are adequately resourced to successfully deliver inline with Group policy, process and procedure. Alongside the Asset Management team, take an active role in developing the 5-year asset investment plans related to the creation, refurbishment and/or upgrade of the assets.
- Keep up-to-date both with functional knowledge and skills but also understanding of local community, customer and marketplace issues. Ensure the maintenance of internal and external networks to ensure exposure to and the development of professional best practice.
Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years post qualification Project Management experience in an asset intensive industry.
- Educated to graduate degree level with relevant professional qualifications/professional body membership.
- Proven track record of managing the delivery of projects across all aspects of the project lifecycle.
- Strong commercial acumen and working knowledge of forms of contract.
- The job holder needs excellent interpersonal, communication and relational abilities. Understands the link between engagement and performance.
- Knowledge and experience of project management governance systems and continuous improvement in a regulated and/or safety critical industry. (Ideal(

The role is based within the East Anglia region and travel between all three ports is expected in line with project requirements.
