Upway is hiring a General Manager, New Services — a role dedicated to developing all revenue streams beyond e-bike sales, including Accessories, Subscription Plans, Financial and Insurance Services and Servicing.

This is a unique opportunity to build our New Services business from the ground up across all our operating markets. Starting with an ambitious five-year vision, you will shape and execute the strategy to make it happen. You’ll define the roadmap, recruit and lead the team needed to deliver it, and work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Tech, and local market teams to tailor solutions to each market’s specific opportunities and challenges. You will have full ownership of both revenue growth and profitability for this new business area.

The role is based in Paris, with travel across Europe (Germany, Belgium, Netherlands) and occasional trips to the US.

What you will do

  • Develop and scale new revenue streams beyond e-bike sales, including accessories, insurance, warranties, subscriptions, and financing.
  • Define and execute the long-term strategy for New Services, starting from a 5-year vision down to actionable plans.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, hiring, training, and mentoring talent to operationalize the strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and local teams (Product, Tech, Operations, Marketing) to deploy new services at scale while respecting market-specific opportunities and challenges.
  • Get a deep understanding of consumer needs in each market and build a strategy around them.
  • Ultimately own the business outcomes, including revenue growth, profitability, customer satisfaction and overall performance of New Services across all operating markets.

What you will need

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in Finance, Strategy Consulting, Operations, General Management or equivalent.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business models, P&L management, and revenue generation. Able to define and execute strategies that drive growth, make data-informed decisions, and balance short-term priorities with long-term vision. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at extracting actionable insights from data.
  • Project & Stakeholders Management: Ability to plan and execute initiatives of varying durations and scales while effectively managing stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English. French is not required.
