What You'll Do

Working as a part of an international HR team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from Germany, UK, Japan and the US, all working towards creating an exceptional employee experience and supporting the peoples group’s mission. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner Europe, you will: 

  • Provide HR support across the entire employee lifecycle for international Flatiron employees, as such as on- and offboarding processes 
  • Act as first point of contact for employee enquiries via our ticketing system and prepare HR related communication 
  • Oversee local absence management (e.g. sick leaves, parental leaves)  and administrate local benefits (e.g. Pension schemes, medical benefits) 
  • Ensure that all HR processes comply with  labor laws, international policies, and best practises 
  • Process employee change requests and ensure the accuracy and compliance of employee data and files through periodic review and audit.
  • Adopt a mindset of continuous improvement and contribute to the evolution of our processes, guidelines and procedures in a hybrid work environment.
  • Support special projects and other ad hoc initiatives across the team as required.

Who You Are

The HRBP Team is looking for a dynamic HR Generalist to join the team. This will be an excellent opportunity to get exposure to all areas of HR and play a supporting role on a number of high impact initiatives. This person will support projects and processes across People Operations. The ideal candidate will be a voracious learner who is eager to roll up their sleeves and help optimize the coordination and administration of our key People Team initiatives.

  • You have a Bachelor's degree.
  • You have gained 1-2 years initial work experience, ideally in a business or administrative HR environment.
  • You are highly organised, service orientated and proactive. You have superior organisational skills and project management abilities, as well as excellent attention to detail. You thrive on getting things done quickly and accurately.
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • You have strong empathy and high emotional intelligence.
  • You maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.
  • You are a highly collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships within the HR/People Ops team.
  • You enjoy a 'roll-up-your-sleeves' environment and are comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-paced, challenging workplace.
