About the Team:
Our Corporate Finance Team is full of ambitious, innovative, and talented professionals. We have a diverse team with individuals coming from industry and public practice backgrounds. This team is undergoing a major Transformation Project. We have switched to a new, more agile accounting system. We have some ambitious goals to meet in 2026 including shortening our month-end close, introducing automation to our processes and updating our policies.
Purpose of the Role:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the firm by performing bookkeeping and transactional processing as part of the Corporate Finance Team. This provides an excellent opportunity to use your creativity and ingenuity to improve systems and provide professional support to the Finance Team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Processing accounts payable in accordance with company policies.
- Referencing invoices to contracts to ensure accuracy, when applicable
- Ensuring timely payments to avoid late fees and interest charges
- Communicating with our vendors in a professional courteous manner
- Assisting with banking duties, including creation of wires, transfers, and management of payment templates
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting; equivalent experience will be considered
- A minimum of 2 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skill
Compensation & Benefits Package:
This position comes with a base salary range of $42,000 - $58,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
