$103,998.00 - $155,997.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:Plays a crucial role in supporting the overall nursing leadership team by overseeing the implementation of evidence-based nursing practices, ensuring quality patient care delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the nursing department. Collaborate with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and administration to develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards that align with regulatory requirements and best practices in healthcare. Through leadership and guidance, contribute to the enhancement of patient outcomes, staff development, and organizational excellence in healthcare delivery.

The Assistant Director of Ambulatory OB/GYN Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing practice within the OB/GYN Ambulatory practices at URMC.Primary oversight of gender wellness services across multiple ambulatory locations, ensuring that patients and families receive safe, equitable, and compassionate care throughout their reproductive and gynecologic health journeys. Will play a pivotal role in leading ambulatory practice acquisitions in partnership with the Senior Program Administrator, ensuring seamless integration and continuity of care. Responsibilities include guiding Nurse Managers and their teams in daily operations, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing innovative models of care that improve quality, safety, and patient experience. Provide leadership and oversight for OB/GYN Ambulatory practices across multiple clinic sites. Directly oversee the OB/GYN Ambulatory Nursing float pool to assure safe staffing and adequate coverage across all clinics. Collaborate with providers, managers, and interprofessional teams to optimize workflows and enhance patient experience. Guide the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based standards of nursing care. Support budget planning, resource allocation, and staffing models to promote efficiency and quality outcomes. Mentor and support Nurse Managers and staff to advance professional development and performance. Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required. Minimum 5 years of progressive clinical, supervisory, and administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership experience in an academic medical center or complex healthcare setting strongly preferred. Current NYS RN license required. ANCC certification in a relevant specialty area preferred (e.g., Ambulatory Care Nursing, Gender Wellness, Nurse Executive). Demonstrated ability to lead through collaboration, initiative, and sound judgment.
