BT-139 – Sr. Database Administrator
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (fully on-site, no remote option)
**MUST HAVE A POLY CLEARANCE TO APPLY. Those without a Poly clearance will not be considered.**
Description:
Sr. Database Administrator with 10+ years experience supporting large scale or enterprise level database services. Support for 24x7 production database environment. After-hours call in support be necessary when scheduled.
Required Skills:
- 10 + years experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Postress, and MySQL & Oracle’s database (10 – current).
- Extensive experience with database design, as well as, the collection and interpretation of requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
- BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year’s experience.
- Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
- Security + CE or higher required
Qualifications:
- Managing/Senior Principal Consultant designs and implements individual components of the Oracle products based on area of expertise.
- Analyzes detailed requirements and develops detailed design for a specific Oracle product or technology.
- Provides implementation services for a specific product to include extensions and additional configurations necessary to implement unique business processes and workflows.
- Performs routine health checks and optimizations of system performance, availability, access controls and security.
- Performs system optimization, performance tuning and assists in capacity planning.
- Performs proactive analysis of potential issues, risks and roadblocks during system implementation and operations.
