What would you do as a Integration Engineer - Mid Level
As a key member of our Systems Engineering team at Mission Intelligence Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our FM architecture. Your responsibilities will involve documenting the current architecture and data flows while designing a robust future state that establishes FM as an Authoritative Source of Truth (ASoT) within the NGA Digital Engineering Environment. You will lead modernization initiatives, partnering with enterprise engineering teams to introduce systems engineering rigor and governance to FM. Additionally, you will capture and baseline FM requirements and architecture, facilitate Requests for Change (RFCs), and support the design of the To-Be architecture roadmap.
By creating use cases and driving agile planning, you will enhance FM data architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise data governance. Your expertise will be critical in identifying improvement opportunities to streamline processes and elevate our service delivery standards.

To excel as a Mid-Level Integration Engineer with Mission Intelligence Group, you will need a strong foundation in systems engineering principles and practices, demonstrated through effective documentation and architectural design. Excellent analytical skills are essential for capturing and baselining requirements while identifying improvement opportunities in workflows. Strong communication abilities will be vital for collaborating across enterprise engineering teams, facilitating Requests for Change (RFCs), and leading Agile planning sessions.
A proactive approach to problem-solving will enable you to drive integration and modernization initiatives effectively. Additionally, possessing a keen understanding of data architecture and governance will help ensure alignment with organizational standards. Required Skills and Experience:
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
- 6 years of technical experience is required. If that experience is as an Integration Engineer, it may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 6 years of working experience in government or industry in database management or Big Data analysis.
- Familiarity with Architecture Artifacts (e.g., DoDAF Architecture Views – Service and System)
- Use of Cameo Systems Modeler tool to develop Architecture artifacts such as System and Service views.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Documented work experience and demonstrated knowledge with Systems Engineering Processes (e.g., Requirements, Use Case, CONOPS, and/or Epic development; Risk, Configuration, and/or Schedule Management).
- Familiarity with Architecture Artifacts (e.g., DoDAF Architecture Views – Service and System).
- Hands-on experience with the NGA RFC process.
- Knowledge of Government Financial Management systems and workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Training, certification, and hands-on experience with SAFe Agile.
- Basic understanding of Digital Engineering / Model Based System Engineering concepts.
- Experience with Business Process Engineering.
- Experience facilitating TEMs.
- Strong communication skills, verbally and written; detail-oriented.
