WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Level 1 Assembly Associate to join our production team. This entry-level role focuses on learning and performing basic assembly tasks in a safety-first, quality-driven environment. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to developing their skills while contributing to the success of the Technical Assembly Department.

JOB PURPOSE
The Machine Cutter is responsible for managing and overseeing the functions of the Cutting Department. This position involves cutting, shaping, and trimming materials using a variety of tools and machines.
STRUCTURE
The Machine Cutter reports directly to the Production Manager or Supervisor. They work closely with other members of the cutting department and may collaborate with supervisors from different departments as needed.
RESPONSIBILITY

Operate machinery and equipment in the Machine Shop, following job specifications to determine adjustments and material requirements.

Set stops, guides, and controls to achieve precise cuts to specified lengths.

Mark cutting lines around patterns or templates, ensuring accuracy in the cutting process.

Inspect materials for defects and mark or discard items accordingly.

Position materials on the cutting table or machine and activate the equipment.

Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.

Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy.

Fold materials after cutting and mark identification numbers on products.

Replace or sharpen cutting tools as needed.

Perform tasks such as routing items using portable routers and grinders.

Transport workpieces and materials to designated areas using carts.

Trim excess material off finished products.

Operate additional equipment required for job functions.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in operating electric hand tools and cutting machinery.

Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Proficiency in using various cutting tools and equipment.

Basic understanding of common safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Prior experience in a similar role or industry.

Familiarity with specific cutting machinery, such as the I-9000 cutting machine.

Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable with standing, walking, and performing physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
