Job Summary: (1st shift - 7 am - 4pm)
The Logistics Supervisor provides leadership to all Team Members within assigned Department(s) on an assigned shift. Collaborate with Inventory Control, Customer Service, Planning, Quality Control, Sourcing, and Operations to ensure timely and efficient completion of all activities. Ensure safe, effective, and compliant practices of Team Members performing a variety of tasks.
Areas of responsibility include, but may not be limited to, receipt and stocking of inventory, processing customer returns, picking and shipping outbound orders, supporting inventory control best-practices, and often participating in or leading continuous improvement activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for all Team Members within assigned department(s) on an assigned shift.
- Responsible for day-to-day supervision of Team Members and maintaining all time, attendance, and disciplinary action records for each direct report in a timely manner.
- Responsible for recruitment, development, promotion and disciplinary actions of Team Members on assigned shift.
- Responsible for overall performance management of Team Members including preparing and delivering annual performance reviews.
- Ensure timely and appropriate training of employees in the areas of GMP/GDP, EHS, and Quality Systems.
- Ensure team members are up-to-date and trained to perform assigned functions.
- Contact/resolve/counsel Team Members in error remediation.
- Prepare/present routine reports as instructed by Manager regarding performance in assigned Department(s).
- Manage all inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics activities including receiving, stocking, inspection, and shipping.
- Assist with daily departmental functions as necessary including, but not limited to processing inbound and outbound orders, processing of customer returns, and aiding in inventory control activities.
- Ability to prioritize personal workload to maintain company efficiencies – time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with production team members and management in a professional manner

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- Strong leadership and cross-functional skills; leadership/management background; preferably in logistics areas including shipping/receiving/distribution, and shipment/inventory management within a medical device regulated environment
- Effective problem-solving skills, including problem identification, data gathering, solution development, and implementation follow up
- Leadership and motivational skills to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
- Must be able to work within a team environment not only within the organization unit, but also across departments and shifts
- Experience using Lean methodologies and practices is strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of quality systems is a plus

Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 6 years combined industry (biomedical, medical device) and/or military experience; or 8 years of combined industry, military and/or related (general manufacturing, quality or logistics) experience.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience required but 3+ years preferred; may include military leadership experience.
