Radiology Tech Aide en Black River Health

Black River Health has an immediate opening for a Radiology Technician Aide in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.  This position performs assigned radiology examinations following hospital and radiology standards under the general supervision of the Imaging Department Director, as well as the direct supervision of the Registered Radiologic Technologist (AART) (American Registry of Radiological Technologists). This position is located at Black River Memorial Hospital:

Essential Duties Include:

• Performs radiographic exams on patients.  Provides the best images possible to radiologists and providers for interpretation.  
• Provides high-quality service to customers cost-effectively and efficiently.
• Communicates pertinent patient information promptly to the appropriate technologist and/or radiologist.
• Performs skills based on the completion of educational content.  (Provides a copy of Radiology Program competencies to the department director).
• Demonstrates knowledge, skill, and accuracy in the operation and maintenance of all general x-ray and EKG equipment.

Educational Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program or eligible for a national Radiologic registry exam
• Has had or is in the process of obtaining clinical/hospital experience in a radiology department setting
• General computer skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good organization skills
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Customer service experience
• Functions as a member of a team
• CPR is required or must be completed within 2 months
